Description
Durham University Academic Office are currently looking to recruit a number of exam Invigilators. Work is seasonal and you will need to be available during the University’s examination periods in May-June and August 2026. Under instruction from colleagues in the department and following appropriate training. If you are a Postgraduate Research student you will need to be on official leave from your studies to take up the role. Unfortunately Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students can not be considered for Invigilation work. Interviews for this role will be in person and will take place on Monday 9th February and Thursday 12th February. ·Collect Examination Papers from the Allocated Paper Collection Point, collecting and returning following the exam ·Organise the Examination Venue ·Distribute Attendance Cards, Answer Booklets and Examination Papers ·Communicate with examination candidates, as appropriate ·Organise, give clear instructions and monitor candidates as they enter the examination venue ·Explain examination key information to examination candidates ·Ensure the examination begins at the advertised time ·Be vigilant during the examination monitoring the room for illness, cheating and other irregularities ·Deal with emergencies such as illness or fire evacuation To apply for the role please complete the online application process uploading a copy of your CV and covering letter.
