Join Nine Radio's dynamic news team to deliver fast, fair, and smart breaking news to our listeners. Day to day you will: Compile and deliver half-hourly and hourly news bulletins. Conduct interviews and compile news content from a variety of sources. Read news bulletins on air in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Communicate breaking news to program presenters, producers, and other internal stakeholders. Share news content and collaborate with colleagues across the national radio network. Work a 5-day roster and function as a self-starter, making daily editorial decisions independently. Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues in the newsroom and the wider station team, including producers and presenters. Qualifications What you’ll bring: Possess sharp attention to detail, ensuring work is accurate and meticulously checked, complemented by excellent written and verbal presentation skills. Hold a tertiary qualification in journalism, communications, or a related field, and ideally have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a broadcast environment. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adhering to tight deadlines. Maintain a solid understanding of Australia's political system and media law.
