DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Casual Educator to join our team. This role involves covering shifts for sick leave, long service leave, and staff training. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all children. You may need to be available at short notice, and will need to be adaptable and flexible as you work across different kinder groups in our service. Availability Requirements:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• School Holidays: Off

Key Responsibilities:

• Support our team to deliver engaging educational programs for 3 and 4-year-old children.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kindergarten.
• Maintain a safe and clean kinder environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Certificate III in Children’s Services.
• Working with Children Check.
• Police Check.
• First Aid and CPR Training.
• Allergy, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Training.
• Child Protection Training.
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Child protection training and understanding of child safe standards is essential.
