JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency with computers, including experience using desktop software such as Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and database search techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an electronic and digital environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of library principles, procedures, and daily operations is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, student-focused setting.
  • Post secondary courses related to the library field would be desirable.
  • Minimum High School Diploma.
  • No experience required, we will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
  • Provide library circulation and basic reference services during scheduled evening and weekend shifts, including Friday evenings, and/or Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Support students and faculty by assisting with library resources, answering questions, and helping locate materials.
  • Deliver friendly and responsive customer service that fosters a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate circulation records and assist with opening and closing procedures as required.
  • Contribute to the smooth daily operation of the library through light shelving, tidying, and basic administrative tasks.
