WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH (MCH) NURSES TO JOIN OUR GROWING CASUAL POOL.
As a Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nurse, you’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You’ll have the chance to work with a diverse community, helping families from all walks of life and seeing the positive impact you have on their well-being.
In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team, including MCH nurses, immunisation nurses, child and family resource officers, lactation consultants, social workers, and a family violence officer. You’ll receive excellent guidance from a dedicated leadership team, ensuring you have the support you need to succeed.
You’ll bring your clinical expertise to a community-focused setting, with ongoing support from your Team Leader to escalate issues and access professional development opportunities.
As part of one of the largest Councils in Victoria, you’ll have access to well-resourced facilities, internal referral options for additional family support, and the equipment you need to deliver high-quality care.
This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are confident in their practice, able to work independently, and have a strong background in delivering comprehensive care to children and families.
At this time, we are focusing on applicants with established experience in MCH nursing, so this role is not currently suitable for new graduates.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS TO PRACTICE AS A MCH NURSE IN VICTORIA, AS OUTLINED IN THE POSITION DESCRIPTION –
In addition to the above registrations, accredited postgraduate Diploma/Degree (or equivalent) in Child and Family Health Nursing.
Please note only applicants that have the mandatory qualifications to practice, and have experience working as a MCH Nurse in Victoria will be considered at this time.
If you progress past the interview stage, you may be required to complete pre-employment screening, which may include police checks, a medical, qualification verification, and an Australian work rights check.
