We’re looking for a Casual Offshore Chemist to join our team in Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll ensure the highest standards of laboratory operations, deliver accurate sampling and analysis, and support smooth offshore platform performance. Perform sampling and analysis in line with international standards, producing clear and accurate reports while maintaining exceptional analytical performance. Represent SGS offshore, ensuring full compliance with test methods, documented procedures, and all QHSE requirements. Troubleshoot equipment, method, or sample issues, working closely with onshore teams to maintain continuity of service. Maintain calibrated, safe laboratory equipment and ensure adequate stock of consumables to support uninterrupted operations. Demonstrate strong laboratory best‑practice knowledge, the ability to work independently offshore, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Essential HNC level in chemistry or related science based subject, or equivalent. Off-shore medical certificate. Off-shore survival certificate.
