The Burnaby French Language Preschool (BFLP) is looking for casual/on call Early Childhood Educator to join the BFLP casual staff. BFLP is a play based preschool for children ages 2.5-5 years old, offering preschool programs in the morning and afternoon 5 days a week. Class sizes are small - with a maximum of 15 children and two teachers. For five decades, BFLP has provided the community enriched French immersion preschool. Operating as a parent-participation preschool, all operations are administered by parent volunteers, empowering our Teachers to focus primarily on the children and program curriculum.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will assist teaching the preschool program for children ages 2.5 - 5 years. This position reports directly to the head teacher and Board of Directors, of which are comprised of parent volunteers. Duties will include: supporting setup and clean-up of the room and equipment; supporting children in activities; providing quality care for children; ensuring children’s safety and supervision standards and other duties as required. This position will work as and when needed during the operational program hours (on-call sessions can range from 4.5 hrs to 7.5 hours a day)
