Job Description
Play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by providing expert maintenance services across both fixed and mobile plant equipment including unloading trucks and trains. This hands-on role is essential to the safe and efficient performance of our site.
Roster: 4 Days, 4 Nights, 4 Off
Type: Casual Employment
Location: Newhaul Port Logistics, Geraldton

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hold a Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Relevant VOCs for Machinery Operation
  • EWP and Forklift Tickets would further strengthen your application
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Safely and efficiently unload trucks and trains, ensuring smooth bulk material transfer.
  • Operate mobile equipment including forklifts, bobcats, watercarts, and sweepers.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance—servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment.
  • Minimise downtime by applying practical maintenance expertise to support efficient production.
  • Perform pre-start checks, identify and report hazards or faults, and maintain safe work practices.
  • Keep work areas, equipment, and machinery clean and well maintained.
  • Assist with equipment preparation and isolations in support of safe maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with trades and operations teams, and offer guidance to junior staff when required.
  • Complete administrative tasks using MEX and other systems (e.g. work orders, parts requisitions, time recording).
  • Accurately document daily tasks, safety checks, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in shift handovers and toolbox meetings, contributing to team planning and safety.
