CASUAL WORKERS WILL BE PAID AT £23,656 PRO RATA (£12.26 PER HOUR).

Carmarthenshire County Council Passenger Transport Unit provides home to school / unit transport for pupils / students with Additional Learning Needs, using various taxi’s or mini buses throughout Carmarthenshire and neighbouring Counties.
A team of Passenger Assistants provides supervision, care and safety of the pupils / students during the journeys between home and the relevant school / unit.
The Authority is seeking to recruit a pool of casual Passenger Assistants to cover for absences, to be available on an ad-hoc basis and sometimes at short notice. Transport will be provided for successful candidates from a suitable location prior to commencing and after compassion of the school route from a suitable location (both morning and afternoon journeys).

DBS level:
An Enhanced with Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job. It is an offence to apply for the role if the applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children or adults at risk

Level 2 - You will need a basic level of conversational Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
