JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets while their owners are away. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to ensure their safety, comfort, and happiness. This role involves visiting clients’ homes to tend to pets, offering companionship, exercise, and basic care. We are hiring a casual basis, day time, evenings, weekends and holidays may be required. Payment is per scheduled visits. Pet Sitters operate as independent contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in pet care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with both pets and their owners.
• Reliable transportation for commuting between clients’ homes.
• Ability to handle various types of pets with confidence and care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with pet owners.
• Must have a cell phone with data.
• Must provide an up to date criminal record check and be willing to complete a Canine First Aid course.

• Attend to the daily needs of pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as required.
• Provide companionship and engage in playtime to keep pets active and entertained.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets by managing waste disposal and cleaning up after them.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise during visits.
• Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners to ensure each pet receives personalized care.
• Manage scheduling effectively to accommodate multiple clients while ensuring timely visits.
