Casual Registered Nurse - Neuro Trauma (UPMC Presbyterian/8G) UPMC Presbyterian, a Magnet designated hospital, is currently hiring a Casual Registered Nurse to support the 8G Neuro Trauma Unit. Join a collaborative team dedicated to delivering life-changing care to patients with complex neurological and trauma needs. Position Overview 8G is a 23-bed progressive care unit specializing in the care of neurologic and neurosurgical patients. As a comprehensive stroke and trauma unit, we manage step-down admissions for stroke and trauma patients transitioning from intensive care. Our nurses are equipped with NIH Stroke Scale training and ACLS certification, and they have the opportunity to pursue advanced certifications in neuroscience and trauma nursing. Schedule & Casual Requirements RNs work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support 24/7 patient care. Candidates will be placed into one of the following casual titles based on experience and availability: Professional Staff Nurse – Limited Casual: 30 shifts per calendar year Professional Staff Nurse – Casual: Minimum of 36 hours in three pay periods, one holiday per year, and 24 off-shift/weekend/standby hours per quarter Title and pay are determined by education, experience, and hours commitment with a starting rate of $37.30 per hour.
