ABOUT THE POSITION:

Being a casual, you will orientate in all of our programs. This will allow you to see all of the various aspects of our operations. Once you are done orientating, as a casual, you can pick and choose from the available shifts offered and create your own work schedule. This position is great for people looking for flexibility in their lives.

REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires the ability to work both as a team member and independently around the support of clients. Applicants for this position would require:

  • Certificate in the field of Community Care (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid First Aid certificate
  • Doctor’s letter of fitness
  • Current TB test
  • Food Safe certificate

As well, additional consideration will be given to candidates who hold a valid unrestricted Class 4 Driver’s License (optional). At the time of application, it is okay to not have the above documentation but applicants must be prepared to acquire certifications before being officially hired by SOCIS.
Wages would be $25.95 – $29.76 (based on work experience) and are in accordance with CUPE contract.
