Are you passionate about cleaning and love to see things ship-shape and spotless? If yes, the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth wants you to join our team of hardworking housekeepers! We are currently seeking to recruit Casual Room Attendants that can be flexible around the needs of the business as well as your own commitments.
The Casual Room Attendant role will involve working as a part of a large team but also individually as you clean your rooms, with the successful candidate requiring real attention to detail and the capabilities to work well under pressure. These positions are all engaged on a casual contract for services therefore work will be given ‘as required’ by our business levels.

Responsibilities

AS A CASUAL ROOM ATTENDANT, YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Making sure our rooms, service areas, corridors, guest lift areas and fire exits are always at their best and up to the required standards
  • Helping our guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs a toothbrush or directions!
  • Keeping your supervisor updated on room servicing progress and alert them to any repairs needed
  • Being safety aware, organised, and committed to attending your shift on time and completing all daily duties i.e. collecting room keys and daily duty sheet, stocking work trolley for the day, cleaning rooms to the set standard, reporting all lost property, changing and replacing linen etc

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE WOULD HAVE:

  • Previous experience in 4* hotel is desirable, although full training is provided
  • Good communication skills with a positive and energetic nature
  • It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important
  • Flexible attitude to shifts – you may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
