About the Role: MSS Security is seeking a Casual Control Room Operator to join our team at a research centre located in Bundoora. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working within a control room environment, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing access control, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate and timely reporting. A high level of professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, security-focused environment are required. Duties include but are not limited to: Manage and monitor loading dock access to ensure secure entry and exit Operate and respond to intercom systems in a professional and timely manner Monitor and escalate Building Automation System (BAS) alarms as required Identify, assess, and escalate security alarms in line with site procedures Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure site safety and security Manage access control, including staff, contractor, and visitor entry Respond to and document incidents accurately and in a timely manner Support emergency response procedures as required, including escalation and coordination Requirements: Full Australian working rights Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement Current First Aid and CPR certification Valid driver’s licence Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster Experience with Honeywell systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS) is highly desirable Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing High level of attention to detail and accuracy Master Licence Number: 409-987-30S How to apply MSS Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions of each person We encourage and celebrate diversity.
