SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Technical/mechanical aptitude with proven experience in equipment servicing, repairs, or maintenance (healthcare equipment experience desirable but not essential).
  • Attention to detail with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Experience managing spare parts or stock control in a service/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good record-keeping and basic computer literacy.
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain is advantageous.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our warehouse team on a casual basis. The role is primarily focused on repairing, servicing, and maintaining our range of capital equipment. In addition, the position will involve carrying out quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks, as well as overseeing the spare parts inventory to ensure equipment is serviced efficiently and kept in safe, compliant working order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose, repair, and service a variety of capital equipment in line with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Perform QA/QC inspections on repaired and returned equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and performance requirements.
  • Maintain the spare parts inventory, including organising stock, monitoring usage, and ensuring parts are available when needed.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source replacement parts, track deliveries, and resolve any supply issues.
  • Maintain accurate service, inspection, and parts usage records within company systems.
  • Support the warehouse team with equipment handling, storage, and preparation as required.
  • Identify recurring repair issues and provide feedback to management on preventative measures.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
