ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated individual to join our team as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centered care to individuals who require assistance with a range of activities. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs, promote their independence, and ensure their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The role of a Support Worker is both rewarding and challenging, offering the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those you support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties of the Support Worker will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing Personal Care: Assisting individuals with their personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
• Supporting with Daily Activities: Helping clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation, household chores, shopping, and managing appointments.
• Promoting Independence: Encouraging and supporting clients to engage in activities that foster independence, self-esteem, and autonomy. You will work collaboratively with clients to set personal goals and support them in achieving them.
• Emotional and Social Support: Offering companionship and emotional support to clients, assisting them in building social networks, and promoting social inclusion. This may include engaging in hobbies, going out for walks, or participating in community activities.
• Health and Well-being: Assisting clients with medication management, health monitoring, and liaising with healthcare professionals when necessary. Ensuring that clients maintain a healthy lifestyle and are supported in managing any specific health conditions.
• Adhering to Policies and Procedures: Ensuring that all care is provided in accordance with legal, ethical, and company guidelines. This includes safeguarding practices and ensuring that the safety and well-being of clients are always prioritized.
