Job SummaryTUV Rheinland industrial services is looking for a Inspection Engineer CAT 4. The Inspector reports to the Local Head of department / Team Leader / Inspection Engineer for team of Inspection staff. For large shutdowns the inspector is required to coordinate their work with other inspectors.This role focuses on Inspection of pressurised static equipment e.g. vessels, tanks, piping, relief devices, to meet regulatory and client requirements.Job DescriptionMain Accountabilities:Examination of pressurised static equipment in accordance with the Written Scheme of Examination WSE.Undertaking simple NDT – ultrasonic thickness checks, magnetic particle, dye penetrant.Preparation of clear reports including photographs.Assessment of deterioration.ChallengesAbility to work safely unsupervisedFull driving license and willingness for UK travel essentialMeeting statutory reporting requirementsAble to deliver and discuss unexpected / difficult findingsMeeting tight deadlinesAble to interpret engineering drawings and dataConfident in use of IT softwareWorking at heights and in confined spacesWilling to work extended hours to cover maintenance eventsQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssentialGood verbal and written communication skillsEye for detailAbility to accurately follow proceduresUnderstanding of engineering principlesAbility to interact and work with othersMechanical Engineering backgroundDesirableExperience in chemical and/or oil and gas sectorAppreciation of pressure equipmentExperience / appreciation of non-destructive examination techniques (NDT)Qualifications and ExperienceTrained/qualified in a relevant engineering disciplineEngineering Technician status desirable5 years of experience working within a relevant engineering discipline e.g. mechanical technician.What we can offer you:Hybrid work model and flexible working hoursAnnual bonus subject to company and individual performanceA package of benefits: private medical care, group life insurance, workplace pension scheme, employee discounts, Salary sacrifice optionsWell being SupportWork in a friendly, diverse and high-qualified team with positive and cooperative working atmosphereInternational environment and daily usage of foreign languagesReal development opportunitiesDirect communication and no formal dress codeEmployee referral program#LI-DNILocation for this jobWe only accept applications submitted online through our application system.
