Torden is seeking qualified Korean linguist professionals to support interpretation and translation requirements at Clay Kaserne, Wiesbaden, Germany. The operations require support around the clock, 24/7. As such, linguists are assigned specific work shifts that may rotate at designated times throughout the year.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Speaking and Reading Proficiency in Korean and English
• Interpretation and translation from target language to English (ILR Level 3), must pass language tests to demonstrate this proficiency
• Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
• Must have typing and computer skills
• Must be able to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
• Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation.
• Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between educated native speakers
• Ability to understand and provide accurate translations on radio broadcasts, news stories similar to wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred: Individuals with an active SECRET clearance at a minimum.
• All candidates must pass a U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening and may be required to submit to a polygraph for access to this program.

• Federal requirements mandate that all applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens.
• Priority will be given to applicants with active security clearances and recent CI interviews.
