JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Catalog Layout Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing catalogs, signage, graphics, advertisements, along with supporting the graphics team.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Must be proficient on Macintosh platform in Adobe InDesign & Adobe Photoshop
· Understanding of perspective, light and shadow
· Some basic illustration skills
· Basic mathematics skills for calculating document specs and color formulas
· An understanding of offset printing methods and requirements is a plus
· Must have graphic design skills, advertising design skills, understanding of typography, mock up construction, organizational skills, and communication skills
· Requires effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively
· Excellent follow-up and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
· Ability to work independently with little direction
· Ability to keep up in a fast paced, deadline-oriented work environment

· Create final files for print for all catalog projects
· Ensure that files prepared for print are complete and accurate
· Apply design skills to create ads, signage, and graphics
· Follow rough layouts for catalog pages supplied by marketing
· Perform basic digital image editing; clipping paths, color correction, clean up, drop shadows, cloning
· Prepare digital images requested by customers and publishers for print and web
· Continue to update computer skills and experiment with new software updates and programs
· Perform other related duties as required and assigned
