About the Role CCO Volunteers are invaluable volunteer contributors in the pursuit to Catalyze Kingdom transformation by sharing the Gospel, inviting students into the life of the local church, and mobilizing the Christian community and churches to engage ministry on campus. CCO Volunteers assist in developing deep collaboration between church/community members and students that promotes strong biblical discipleship, life long commitment to the Church, and the flourishing of Christ’s kingdom in their local context and all areas of life. Purpose of the Position A Catalyst Volunteer expands CCO’s presence in new contexts for ministry. A Catalyst builds or sustains CCO ministry on a particular campus at a volunteer level, gaining or sustaining campus access for CCO, building awareness or CCO and collaboration with local churches, and engages CCO’s Campus Ministry Strategy with students in collaboration with CCO Area Leadership and the Department of Strategic Partnerships. The Catalyst Volunteer shares the Gospel with students, invites students into the life of a local church, and calls students to follow Jesus with entire lives through biblical discipleship. A regular rhythm of strategic engagement is set based on the needs of the ministry and is communicated to the volunteer by their Volunteer Coordinator. Ministry Description Gospel, Church, Vision Missionally engage at Rowan University, reaching out to students with the Gospel inviting them to follow Jesus. Intentionally invite students into the life of the local church at Liberti Glassboro. Establish CCO Campus Ministry brand and presence as a collaborator for campus ministry on campus and in the local church community Equip students in biblical discipleship & spiritual formation developing students as leaders on campus and in the church. Disciple college students to live out their faith in every area of life: relationships, academics, vocation/calling, etc. Embody | Invite students to transformational opportunities with CCO regional & national events, local service opportunities, local or global missions opportunities or ways that embody kingdom impact in the world. Commitment Set a regular rhythm of engagement determined between DMV Ministry Supervisor and Catalyst Volunteer which is evaluated and recommitted annually. Take part in a monthly supervision meeting with the CCO DMV Ministry Supervisor. Attend weekly, biweekly or monthly ministry team meetings. Attend the CCO’s annual Jubilee Conference. Spiritual Health Nurture growth through regular worship in a local church, prayer, Scripture study, and other spiritual disciplines. Personal Conduct Displays personal conduct consistent with CCO Statement of Faith, Core Values, Code of Conduct and the CCO General Expectations of Staff and Volunteers.
