OVERVIEW

Maccabi Canada is seeking a passionate and dedicated Catchball Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching or playing team sports such as volleyball, basketball, or catchball. A strong background in Catchball is an asset. The Coach will be committed to educating and developing athletes of all skill levels. As a Coach, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and encouraging environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and excellence in the sport.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Coach or Athlete. Coaching Catchball is an asset.
  • Strong educational background in coaching, Catchball is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
  • Ability to educate athletes on techniques while maintaining a fun and engaging atmosphere.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning practices and events.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all participants, regardless of skill level.

    Job Type: Fixed term contract
    Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes and the team as a whole.
  • Educate on proper techniques, strategies, and rules of the sport to enhance their performance.
  • Conduct regular practice sessions that are engaging, productive, and aligned with the athletes’ goals.
  • Monitor athletes’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Foster a supportive team atmosphere that encourages camaraderie, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
  • Attend team tournaments, catchball and prepare the team accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with athletes regarding training schedules, expectations, and performance updates.
