POSITION SUMMARY Under minimal supervision, inspect and pack literature. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Daily interaction with production employees Good mechanical skills and vision Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to use a calculator. Able to clearly write worksheets. Basic equipment operations skills. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and simple division. Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOPs, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to troubleshoot problems. Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools. Excellent color perception. Must pass Titmus Color Perception test. GENERAL Honest Reliable Team player Good communication skills Willing to work overtime as needed. Willingness to learn Strong work ethic and good attitude toward work Must pay close attention to details. English proficient (speak, write and read) Safety conscious Detail oriented and organized Willingness to work with management, team members and other departments. Ability to meet individual performance objectives. PAST EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE Entry level with recent experience in manufacturing or printing literature helpful. No specialized or technical training necessary. EDUCATION High School diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent. POSITION MAIN DUTIES 1. Manual Handling Roll Lifters & skids. 2. Follows policies and procedures as set forth by management. 3. Completes an inspection worksheet for the function performed. 4. Checks folded literature against Quality Assurance approved samples. 5. Removes and disposes of any unacceptable or inferior printed literature. 6. Completes a daily log of all orders inspected. 7. Communicates with lead or supervisor on quality issues. 8. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with good housekeeping, 5S practices and safety requirements. 9. Loads sheets onto stacker on folding equipment. 10. Replaces defective product and maintains proper counts. 11. Makes inner trays and outer boxes to pack finished products. 12. Performs in process quality check to ensure compliance with quality standards. 13. Follow cGMPs and completes all related paperwork. 14. Prepares shipping labels and applies to outer cartons. 15. Places completed boxes on pallets. 16. Assists Folding Technician in troubleshooting mechanical problems as needed. 17. Records status of orders and quantity of work completed. 18. Other tasks as requested by management. 19. Produce consistent high quality work. 20. Work in an efficient and orderly manner. 21. Participate in team collaboration
