Description Position Summary The Category Buyer will use analysis, research, and data accuracy to effectively procure inventory across assigned product categories and ensure proper allocation to multiple store locations. Procuring products 1. Determine order quantities based on sales, flyers, and promotions for sales and customer satisfaction. 2. React quickly to changes in demand or supply chain disruptions. Suggest and implement procurement efficiencies and improvements. 3. Read and interpret spec sheets, quotes, and product drawings. Set up new items and process purchase orders with accuracy. 4. Perform Gap Analysis on existing stocked items for assigned Suppliers/Categories. 5. Interpret reports on product performance increases or declines. 6. Manage inventory replenishment orders, min/max, and promotions. 7. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and seek new opportunities. 8. Negotiate with suppliers and review programs. 9. Collaborate with vendors to identify new trends, new items, and promotional opportunities. 10. Respond to daily communications and collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising. Perform other assigned duties.
