• Develop and execute global/regional category strategies in alignment with Global Category Director,
• Support and execute global category strategies for foams, sensors/thermostats, adhesives, films and label,
• Lead contract negotiations and developments with local suppliers to ensure consistent commercial terms and conditions,
• Conduct regular regional benchmarking activities for assigned sub-categories to determine best in class suppliers,
• Negotiate annual/semi-annual pricing based on regional indices, market factors, and global benchmark data,
• Qualify new suppliers in collaboration with category strategy,
• Improve efficiency in terms of reliability of supply and price as well as risk management,
• Work closely with our Business Unit Interface to identify and execute cost saving opportunities for new customer RFQ,
• Ensure early involvement of SQD in case of new suppliers and/or materials and on-time PPAP approval,
• Conduct purchasing of materials and select supplier and second sources for the components out of an approved supplier list,
• Ensure complete maintenance of master data and workflows in all relevant systems,
• Collaborate with engineering to confirm technical approval of supplier offers and required validation,
• Support and execute cost reduction ideas,
• Confirm material availability and lead time for the components
