Category Buyer - Machinery & Equipment - fixed term contract Aptiv is currently seeking a M&E Category Buyer to be part of its Europe Sourcing Tactical team. This individual will work closely with the global category team and stakeholders to support sourcing requirements of up to $250K. Key responsibilities will include running RFx, commercial and contractual negotiation of M&E, supporting, execution of category strategy for items within the threshold, and for savings generation for M&E category. Successful candidate will be required to have a good understanding of procurement process. Job Responsibilities Lead sourcing activities related to the acquisition of Machinery & Equipments (Assembly and Test; Wiring Processing: SMT Dispense Routing ICT; Stamping Machining Laser, IMMS and Molds) Negotiation of agreements while ensure compliance to corporate governance requirements. Running of RFx activities Problem solving relating to third parties raised by business or by third parties themselves Requirements: Previous experience in sourcing Machinery & Equipment or similar Good negotiation skills Good understanding of this category Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to be applied in working with partners across the entire contract life cycle Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced matrixed environment Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving skills Highly driven and motivated Good communication skills and fluent with English language Why join us?
