Description Scosche is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven Senior Category & Data Insights Analyst to support our Walmart business by transforming complex data into strategic insights that directly impact sales performance, category growth, and decision-making. This role combines the advanced analytical responsibilities of a Senior Financial/Business Analyst with the specialized category insights expertise required to leverage Walmart’s Scintilla platform, Circana, and other syndicated data tools. Role Objectives Turn Scintilla, Circana, and financial data into actionable insights that support the Walmart account strategy. Provide category recommendations, forecasting support, and performance reporting to internal teams and leadership. Build alignment across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations to drive data-based decision-making and optimize performance. Essential Functions Category Insights & Scintilla Analytics Leverage Scintilla, Circana, and other syndicated data sources to analyze category, competition, and consumer trends. Translate findings into strategic category recommendations for Scosche’s Walmart business. Develop category scorecards, dashboards, and reporting tools that highlight KPIs and business drivers. Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc insights to support retail execution, forecasting, and strategic planning. Partner with the Walmart sales team to develop data-supported selling narratives and presentations. Financial & Business Analysis Build and maintain detailed financial and performance models supporting forecasting, profitability analysis, and KPI tracking. Conduct revenue/margin analysis, variance analysis, and risk/opportunity assessments. Integrate data from financial systems, syndicated sources, and operational databases to produce unified insights. Support budgeting, planning, and business review processes with clear, concise reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to align category insights with business objectives. Partner with leadership to prepare presentations and executive-level narratives that connect insights to business strategy. Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy, alignment, and impact. Data Visualization & Reporting Develop visually compelling dashboards and presentations using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Enhance KPI reporting tools in partnership with Sales Analytics and IT. Own several highly visible processes, ensuring timely and accurate updates for leadership. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes, enhance data quality, and improve analytical capabilities. Stay current on category trends, Walmart data tools, and retail analytics methodologies. Support broader company initiatives with ad-hoc modeling, research, and project support. Requirements Required Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in category management, financial analysis, business analytics, or CPG retail insights. Experience with Scintilla, Circana, Retail Link, Luminate, or 84.51 preferred. Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or data visualization tools. Strong analytical and storytelling capabilities—able to translate data into compelling business narratives. Prior experience supporting Walmart or large national retailers strongly preferred. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
