Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you highly organised with a keen eye for detail and a passion for supply chain coordination? We’re looking for a proactive and driven Category Executive to play a key role in supporting the business management team procurement activities within our Technical division. Reporting to the Business Manager and working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll be responsible for vendor engagement, purchase order processing, maintaining accurate shipment tracking, internal reporting and supporting our internal teams with enquiries. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Take ownership of the stock profile for the technical product division, proactively ordering and processing purchase orders in alignment with guidance from the Business Manager and Supply Chain Manager
  • Provide weekly current stock status, including on order and inbound
  • Support the Midwich sales teams and customers with general enquiries, including pricing and stock ETAs.
  • Maintains accurate cost pricing on the systems for their vendors
  • Act as the key operational contact for their vendors and assist the supply chain manager with vendor booking slot requests and managing shipment timelines from vendor – Inline with the businesses metrics and requirements around stock holding and cash flow
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records for stock profile, aged stock, ETA dates, non-conformance issues, and invoice queries.
  • Share key aged stock lines with the UK LED sales team on a regular basis
  • Check quote reports for high value quotes. Gain more information to pass onto PM
  • Covering Technical mailboxes when PM’s are in meeting or OOO

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Experience in a procurement, category, or commercial support role
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems and stock management processes
  • Help to keep the Sales Enablement pages up to date and relevant
  • Open to (top level) technical training for our key/focus brands
  • Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness
  • Support Tech Team on events if needed
  • Experience in the AV, IT, or technology distribution industry (desirable)
  • Familiarity with vendor management and pricing strategies (desirable)
