SUMMARY: The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive growth, profitability, and market share within the food manufacturing sector. This role involves deep analysis of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies. The Category Manager collaborates closely with sales, marketing, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with business objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop and implement category strategies based on market insights and business goals. * Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities. * Manage product portfolio performance, including SKU rationalization and innovation planning. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new products and optimize existing ones. * Partner with sales teams to develop customer-specific category plans and presentations. * Monitor competitor activity and adjust strategies accordingly. * Lead pricing, promotion, and placement strategies to maximize category performance. * Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership. QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Food Science, or related field (MBA preferred). * 5+ years of experience in category management, trade marketing, or brand management in the food or CPG industry. * Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Nielsen/IRI, Excel, and Power BI. * Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills. * Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and retail/foodservice channels is a plus.
