CATEGORY MANAGER EV CHARGING TECHNOLOGY

The mission of Procurement in Mer is to secure the supply of high-quality products and services, to bring innovation and sustainability to our business through the supply chain and to control cost.
To strengthen our organization further, we are seeking a self-driven procurement expert to be the Category Manager EV Charging Technology. This role is vital for managing AC/DC chargers and their maintenance Mer-wide, and also includes technology such as battery systems, transformers or energy management.
We seek someone with substantial experience in strategic sourcing management and supplier relationship management. Key responsibilities include tender management, contract management, supplier relationship management and supporting internal stakeholders on scope definition and standardization. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in gaining deep understanding of supplier markets, and a strong affinity for technology.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Higher education in relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience of at least 3-5 years from working with strategic sourcing management and/or category management.
  • Experience in negotiations and claims management.
  • An excellent communicator with fluency in English, both written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong understanding and ambassadorship of sustainability topics.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category strategies for EV-charging related primary equipment and services, including responsibility for main framework agreements within charger procurement.
  • Manage tenders for new agreements.
  • Prequalify suppliers within the category, and perform contract and supplier relationship management using our procurement technology platform.
  • Monitor product innovations and market developments and ensure knowledge distribution within Mer.
  • Ensure internal alignment in the category.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives, including assessing sustainability risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to establishing best practice category management methodology.
  • Report category progress and results against commercial and sustainability objectives.
