Job Description Category Manager (m/f/d) – Procurement New Markets We are looking for a Category Manager at mid-senior level to join our Procurement Team in our regional office in Bucharest. In this role, you will contribute to driving our strategy, to strengthening our presence and to offering solutions to our hotel partners in South Eastern Europe, as a trusted partner for procurement services. Your role will involve developing strategies in your assigned categories, running tenders, and maintaining strong relationship both with suppliers and internal stakeholders, in order to deliver value and to ensure client satisfaction. What will you do? As Category Manager, you will set up strategies within your categories, source suppliers, negotiate contracts and deploy solutions by managing the relationship between hotels and suppliers Define and execute category strategies based on business needs and market trends Conduct spend analyses to identify opportunities for consolidation and innovation Manage sourcing processes including RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contracting Lead and collaborate during tenders and bidding processes with international team members to support local identification and implementation of best practices, synergies and more Build and nurture strategic supplier partnerships to drive performance and value Manage the decision making process of selecting new suppliers, including the assessment of quotations, and negotiation of contracted terms, such as prices and general T&Cs Contribute to the financial performance of the assigned category, including EBIT, revenue, customer savings, and supplier bad debt control Qualifications Our ideal profile would be: Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, with expertise in category management Strong strategic and analytical mindset with a proactive and customer-oriented approach Proven ability to manage complex sourcing projects and supplier relationships Comfortable with working in a multicultural and cross-functional matrix environment Full professional proficiency in English and Romanian; any additional European language is a plus Professional approach with a high level of autonomy and drive Familiar with digital procurement tools Additional Information What’s in there for you?
