THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a Category Manager to oversee the sourcing and management of Mining and Maintenance Services. If you’re passionate about ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and sustainable procurement practices, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you’ll:
Develop and execute strategies for sourcing services, using market insights and spend analysis.
Manage the full procurement process – from tendering and negotiation to contract implementation.
Drive cost optimisation, supplier consolidation, and ensure ethical, sustainable sourcing.
Work closely with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business goals.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contracts and KPIs.
Keep procurement databases, contracts, and supplier records up to date.
Provide expertise to help with budgeting, cost control, and continuous improvements.
Collaborate with various departments to develop specifications, tender docs, and contract terms.
Ensure effective communication during the tender and supplier selection process.
Track department and individual performance, providing monthly progress reports.
Help reduce non-compliance with group contracts and conduct regular risk assessments.
