The Category Manager at Ninja will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies that drive sales and profitability across assigned product categories. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to effectively manage product assortments, pricing, and promotional activities. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive category plans that align with overall business objectives and financial targets. Analyze category performance data, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and procurement to optimize product assortments and ensure effective merchandising. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing and availability. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt category strategies as needed. Work with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns that drive consumer engagement and category growth. Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock. Conduct regular reviews of category performance and adjust strategies to optimize sales and profitability. Train and mentor junior team members in category management best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in category management or related roles within retail or e-commerce. Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful category strategies. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Excellent negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights and recommendations effectively. Knowledge of the grocery or FMCG industry is a plus.
