MOL Romania, part of the international MOL Group, is seeking a motivated and experienced Category Manager NonFood & Services to join our team in Bucharest. In this role, you will oversee the full lifecycle of assigned product categories—driving strategy, execution, and performance. Your responsibilities will include developing category strategies based on the 4Ps (Product, Price, Placement, Promotion), analysing market trends, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing product assortment to enhance sales and profitability. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Develop and implement category strategy to drive growth, market share and profitability (based on overall company and commercial strategy); Prepare and lead commercial negotiations of non-fuel goods and services with suppliers Build and maintain strong business relationship with suppliers, collaborates on joint business plans, new product launches and promotional activities Define, manage and optimize assortment, launching exclusive offers and dedicated innovations; Define and execute optimal pricing strategy for the category Contribute to the design of layouts to maximize retail store space, sales and profit; Plan and execute marketing activities in cooperation with Retail Marketing function Monitor and analyse category performance and creates action plans and activities for underperforming categories or products; Supervise and re-assesses continuously the Category results vs annual business plan targets Keep track of latest customer and industry trends, competitor activities; Actively search for new ideas to develop category Become the expert of the related categories through visiting competitors, convenience shops, and analysing internal and external data Collaborate with Group Gastro team to ensure strategic projects and daily operations align with group standards To be successful in the role, you should have: Proven track record in Category Management area University / college degree, Economics or Business degree Min. 4-5 years of relevant offer or category management experience in a multinational supplier / retailer company in category management position Experience with cross country cooperation is advantage Fluent business English is a must, MS Office Package Entrepreneurial and commercial mind-set, excellent communication and negotiation skills, customer focused, strong analytical skills What is in it for you? Responsibilities
The Category Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing category strategies to drive growth, market share, and profitability based on the overall company commercial strategy. This includes leading commercial negotiations with suppliers, defining and managing assortment, setting pricing strategy, and monitoring category performance against targets.
