Apply now!   Learn more: jti.com    Local Applicants Welcome Department: GIP South Asia Location: Yangon, Myanmar Reporting to: Cluster Category Manager Services, GIP Role: Permanent CATEGORY MANAGER  The incumbent will lead procurement activities for Services/M&S categories within the cluster, working closely with global category leads, local management, and key stakeholders to implement effective sourcing strategies. The role includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring the supply of goods and services that meet quality, service, and cost requirements, and contributing to category development. Success requires strong collaboration, alignment with global strategies, and a business partnership mindset.   As the Category Manager in the area of Marketing, you will:  Category Management Strategy Manages procurement activities for the appointed category within the cluster, ensuring effective rollout of strategies defined by the Global Category Lead. The role provides clear direction, fosters collaboration with cluster stakeholders, and works closely with global and cluster leads to align strategies with local requirements. It also ensures efficient supplier management to optimize performance across the cluster. Supplier Management Manages regional and local suppliers, negotiates strategic contracts, and ensures sustainable supply conditions. The role drives effective supplier relationships across the supply chain, recommends timely strategic decisions to prevent inefficiencies, and leads value-adding projects. It also supports global and regional procurement teams, contributes to innovation and sustainability strategies, and promotes initiatives that strengthen competitive advantage. KPIs & Targets Accountable for achieving procurement negotiation goals, delivering savings targets, and developing strategic sourcing plans. They lead or support supplier bidding processes to secure optimal quality, cost, and service outcomes, drive strategy implementation at local and cluster levels, monitor performance, and ensure corrective actions when needed. Business Partnership Fosters strong business partnerships through a customer-oriented approach, aligning procurement strategies with business priorities. They ensure effective communication among procurement, stakeholders, and suppliers, proactively prevent supply issues, and resolve problems promptly. The role also involves taking on additional projects as assigned and consistently demonstrating core behaviors in all aspects of work. Market Intelligence  Leverages category intelligence to identify trends and opportunities, applies best practices in procurement, and drives continuous improvement. They conduct supply risk assessments, build contingency plans, and proactively source innovative suppliers through extensive market research to secure optimal conditions for the company.   Requirements:  University degree 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a multinational company Fluency in English, with strong communication skills (speaking, writing, comprehension) Proven abilities in strategic thinking, negotiation, leadership, financial analysis, and business acumen Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing internal and external stakeholders Sound decision-making skills with a focus on efficiency and process improvement Proficiency in MS Office and SAP   Are you ready to join us?
