Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking seasoned travel professionals with deep knowledge of an assigned category, responsible for overseeing as a Category Business Manager, one of three categories: Hotel, Meetings & Events, and Ground (including international liaison responsibilities). These roles involve analyzing spend data, review of policy items, sizing impact for leadership review, developing and executing category strategies, and collaborating with Corporate Travel teammates, Procurement, internal teams, and suppliers to optimize offerings and achieve business objectives. Each Category Business Manager will play a key role in driving savings, enhancing the overall user experience, and ensuring alignment with internal partner groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with overall business goals.
  • Conduct market research including benchmarking; analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure competitive advantage. Develop and present recommendations to leadership in support of any RFP process.
  • Monitor and manage vendors to ensure the right program design to support business needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present regular reviews on category performance to management.
