CATEGORY MARKETING EXECUTIVE

Forbo Flooring Systems is seeking a proactive, creative, and driven individual to take on the role of Category Marketing Executive. This is your chance to work for a market leading, international flooring manufacturer and play a key role in delivering tailored solutions for customers across the UK and Ireland.
If you have a passion for organising events, managing showrooms, and creating impactful marketing campaigns, this role offers the perfect blend of creativity and hands-on customer engagement.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has 1-2 years experience in marketing and is looking for an exciting role with plenty of room for growth and development.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct customer research and gather insights into Forbo’s flagship products, ensuring marketing initiatives align with customer needs and sales targets.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their requirements and enhance their experience with Forbo products.
  • Support the sales team by developing targeted marketing materials and initiatives that drive customer engagement, including POS materials, digital content and event-based initiatives.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of Forbo’s UK showrooms, ensuring they effectively showcase flagship products and create an engaging space for customer visits.
  • Work closely with the Category Marketing Manager, providing support to the Head of Marketing and the broader marketing team as needed.
  • Contribute to Forbo’s overall marketing communications strategy, ensuring Category products are well-represented alongside the wider product portfolio.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A natural “people person” with a passion for building relationships.
  • A proactive, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and resilience to overcome challenges and think laterally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in planning, organising, and hosting customer events, showroom activations, or exhibitions.
  • Background in leisure, hospitality, or a customer-focused marketing role is highly desirable.
  • An interest in interior design, building materials, or architecture is desirable, but not essential.

Location and Travel:

  • Must be based within a commutable distance of the Forbo factory/offices in Bamber Bridge, Preston.
  • Regular travel across the UK to attend and support events, with occasional international travel possible.
