Category Purchasing Specialist (w/m/x)

Your tasks:

• Responsible for all relevant purchasing processes for the battery housing in a complex and global environment
• Develops, coordinates, and implements the category strategy
• Drives the optimization of the supplier panel to ensure that the panel is continuously updated and suitable for all business areas of the battery systems, and monitors market developments to draw the right conclusions and take the right actions.
• Responsible for relevant purchasing processes in a complex and global environment, creating added value for the organization through the use of intelligent procurement methods and tactics such as global bundling, slot sourcing, auctions, or others.
• Continuous improvement of commercial conditions to ensure competitive prices (negotiations, global bundling, cost calculation and VA/VE projects, etc.)

Your qualifications:

• Technical university degree or degree in economics and relevant professional experience in category purchasing in an internationally operating company, ideally in the automotive industry.
• Strong communication, networking and negotiation skills
• Confident demeanor at all hierarchical levels
• Strategic, conceptual and analytical skills, interdisciplinary, entrepreneurial and customer-oriented thinking and action
• Reliable and well-structured work methods
