Job Description We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Category Sourcing Engineer to support new product introduction (NPI), supplier management, and cost analysis activities. This role works closely with R&D, design engineering, quality, finance, and suppliers to ensure reliable, competitive, and high‑quality components for our products. Key Responsibilities NPI & Engineering Support Support design engineering requests for quotations, samples, drawings, and alternative component proposals during the NPI phase. Recommend suitable alternatives to reduce supply risks and improve cost, quality, and availability. Define new part information such as Commodity Codes, Harmonized Tariff (HT) Codes, and Item Master data. Supplier Selection & Management Manage supplier selection and awarding processes in alignment with SCD meeting outcomes. Set up supplier information in systems, including purchasing info records and source lists. Train new suppliers to understand company requirements across quality, delivery, and finance. Develop and maintain supplier management programs to support supply chain development objectives. Cost Analysis & Negotiation Analyse competing supplier cost‑breakdown sheets, comparing materials, labour, and overhead costs—particularly for fabricated parts. Conduct cost matrix comparisons and evaluate market pricing to ensure pricing is fair and reasonable. Participate in tooling cost reviews, awarding decisions, and follow-up of tooling development and lifecycle management. Quality & Documentation Support Coordinate sample submissions and required documentation for First Article Inspection (FAI). Assist with yearly tooling stock‑take activities in partnership with Finance. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work with R&D, engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance teams to align on sourcing strategies and future component requirements. Provide timely updates and maintain strong communication across departments. Qualifications What you will need: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Effective communicator who can influence decisions across internal teams and suppliers. Experience in Power BI, Microsoft SharePoint, dataverse, DAX, Visual reporting etc. Fluency in English and Mandarin is critical Additional Information Why Join XP Power?
