Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering and Conference Services Planner to join our dynamic team. The Catering and Conference Services Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing catering and conference events to ensure exceptional client experiences and the achievement of revenue and satisfaction goals. This role involves proactive client engagement, detailed event management, and strong cross-departmental communication to deliver seamless and memorable events. The Catering planner will work closely with the Catering Managers and the Director of Catering & Conference Services to meet the hotel’s revenue and market share goals for one or more properties. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, coordinate, and execute catering and conference events to ensure seamless delivery and exceptional client experiences - Engage proactively with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and event objectives - Collaborate closely with Catering Managers and the Director of Catering & Conference Services to meet revenue and market share targets - Manage all aspects of event logistics, including menu planning, setup, and breakdown - Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth operations and timely execution of events - Monitor event progress and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high service standards - Maintain detailed event documentation and ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience in event planning, catering, or conference services preferred - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with clients - Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to handle multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required Join our team and be part of a vibrant culture that values innovation, teamwork, and professional growth. Requirements EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent required; previous Hotel Sales experience preferred 2–4 years of catering, conference services, or event planning experience in a hotel or similar environment. Must possess developed verbal and written communication skills to frequently negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients Experience with professional selling skills is desired, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks; strong organizational and presentation skills
