ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team at WQE’s Regent Road campus in Leicester. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment — with the benefit of regular weekday hours and no weekend or evening shifts.
You’ll play a key role in the preparation and service of food, customer interaction, and ensuring our dining areas remain clean, welcoming, and well-stocked throughout the day. Full training is provided, and we encourage all staff to develop a wide range of skills across kitchen and front-of-house operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and serve food and beverages, including sandwiches and cold food items
• Operate tills and handle payments
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service
• Assist with restocking and maintaining food displays
• Carry out general cleaning duties in both kitchen and front-of-house areas
• Follow stock rotation and food safety procedures
• Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure smooth daily service
