Bupa Merrimac is a charming care home in the heart of the Gold Coast. It is close to the local community with schools and shopping centres nearby. 10kms from the CBD, it consists of 98 beds, a with various care units such as dementia, respite, and palliative. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Cert III Hospitality highly regarded
• Aged care experience highly regarded but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
• Flexible availability for a variety of shifts throughout the week

ABOUT THE ROLE

Use your fantastic catering skills in a role where you really can make a difference. Provide our residents with an empathetic and personal approach. You will also be able to assist Cook Relief when needed. The hours for both roles will be on a casual basis.

DUTIES

• Assist with basic food prep
• Provide meals and snacks
• Clear dining areas and dishwashing
• Maintain legislated food hygiene and safety practices
• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required, including laundry and cleaning
