Catering Team Member (Temporary Ongoing)- immediate start

Contract: Temporary, Term Time plus 3 weeks - Covering Maternity Leave until March 26
Pay: £14.30 per hour (£16.02 with holiday pay)
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Team Member to join our team on a temporary ongoing basis, supporting the catering service within a school setting.
Key Details
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 – 18:30
Contract: Temporary, term time plus 3 weeks (to cover half-term holidays)
Holidays: Taken during school holidays (additional days agreed with line manager)
Pay: £14.30 per hour (£16.02 with holiday pay)
Main Responsibilities
Welcome pupils, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Prepare and maintain service areas for meal times with high presentation standards.
Operate tills during service periods.
Assist with food preparation and ensure safe service of meals and drinks.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness during and after service.
Wash, dry, and store kitchen equipment and utensils safely.
Follow cleaning schedules for kitchen surfaces and equipment.
Communicate stock requirements to the Executive Chef.
Support the catering team in delivering an excellent service.
Requirements
Catering or hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential – training will be provided.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Additional Information
An Enhanced DBS will be undertaken by the client for the successful candidate.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical report (initially via self-certification, with possible Occupational Health screening).
All buildings are non-smoking.
