EFG Inflight Ltd, Shannon Airport, Co. Clare is now accepting applications for the position of Catering Assistant – full time hours, fixed term contract.
Please note that these roles are full time hours from commencement of contract.
Working as part of the food production team and reporting to the Executive Chef this role is a general catering role. It will include:
· General preparation of food for airline requirements e.g. starters, main course and snacks
· The production of sandwiches, paninis etc.
· Portioning of hot meals as per client requirements.
· Washing, peeling, storing food items as required.
· All whilst maintaining the highest possible hygiene standards. Previous knowledge of HACCP preferred.
Whilst previous experience is desirable it is not necessary; however applicants should have an interest in food.
Applicants will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluent English and the ability to work as part of a team.
We offer a great quality of life. The roster is typically a three shift cycle, operating 5.30am – 5pm or 6am – 5.30pm depending on role assigned.
Due to the location of the airport candidates should have own transport.
Successful candidates will be required to pass an Airport Police security background check.
