Catering Assistant
As a catering assistant/kitchen hand you will be responsible for enhancing residents’ dining experience by ensuring and maintaining a personalised and customer-focused approach while maintaining food safety practices in line with regulations.

You will be reporting to the Manager of Residential Services and working with the care, health and hospitality team

• Permanent - Part Time & casual positions available

Your Contribution

• Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
• Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
• Prepare meals and drinks.
• Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
• Dining room services.
• Complete documentation.
• Exhibit our values of Kindness, Integrity, Connection and Optimism in all interactions

The Essentials

• Certificate III in Hospitality or Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
• Completion of a HACCP course (or willing to complete)
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Current National Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care (or willing to obtain)
