Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Catering Assistant is responsible for the delivery of catering requirements within the Sydney office, ensuring a seamless delivery of service for all meetings and client events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet client and staff to provide services including barista, waiter service, food preparation, plating service and handling
  • Clear, clean, setup and configure as appropriate - kitchens, client meeting rooms, conferences rooms, lunches, functions and events
  • Cleaning & maintenance of catering equipment, including washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls and loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Review meeting bookings & events on a daily basis to determine the associated requirements
  • Act as a conduit between the business, Reception and Facilities
  • Manage stock inventory and oversee the receipt of deliveries
  • Support the Catering Supervisor by managing catering operations in their absence or as required
  • Oversee event delivery by coordinating catering operations and providing leadership to catering staff to ensure high-quality service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless event execution and service delivery
  • Undertake receptionist responsibilities when required, including answering and routing incoming calls and faxes on a multi-line telephone system
  • Maintaining and general upkeep of the conference rooms, reception waiting area, lobby and other public areas in the office
  • Adherence to employment regulations and awards and to all health and safety requirements, including food hygiene regulations
  • Service of all staff kitchen areas ensuring supplies are stocked, coffee machines are maintained and serviced regularly. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
