We are looking for Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team of a busy hospital trust with a view to starting ASAP. Experience is preferred but full training will be provided.
This is a bank ad-hoc placement, based on a weekly rota.
Main duties include:
· To undertake food service duties for staff, patients, and users of the restaurant.
· Assist in the service of food items as required.
· To ensure that all food is served is of a high standard.
· To assist with the safe and effective cleaning of meal service areas and equipment after service.
· Use of tills and cash handling.
· To be responsible for the correct operation of cleaning equipment and dish washing and pot washing machinery
You will need to have:
· Excellent customer service skills
· Be able to work unsupervised
· Excellent organisational skills
· Reliable, flexible, and punctual
· Food Hygiene certificates (desirable)
