Job Title: Catering Assistant
Trust: Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, BL9 7TD
Pay Rates: £12.21 per hour (enhanced pay rates for weekend working)
Shift Patterns: Monday- Sunday working 5 days out of 7, 4.15pm – 8.15pm (20 hours per week)
THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION - Ongoing
Cooking great meals daily, to support patient recovery.
The catering team support patient recovery with balanced meals and an incredible amount of hard work and organisation goes into this.
This could be your dream job If you like supporting patients that are ill or recovering from a serious illness with balanced nutritional meals throughout their time in care.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Team member within the kitchen staff; taking meal orders
· Plating meals for patients and clearing away
· Washing food trolleys, cutlery and crockery
· Food prep when necessary
· Any general cleaning that is needed
· Serving patients on wards
· Tidying of ward kitchen and dining room
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Experience in a similar role
· Food Safety L2
· Good spoken and written English.
