Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic catering assistant to support our chef. Running out of a well equipped catering trailer at a busy fishery , you will be responsible for helping to provide cooked evening meals in a professional manner. The catering trailer will be open Wednesday - Sunday.
We are looking to recruit someone for a fixed Term basis with an immediate start until the end of October. Based on the following hours:
16:30pm until 20:30pm two days a week every Thursday and Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook basic evening meals, (pizza, burgers etc)
- Take orders and payment
- Stock Take
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly acknowledging customers
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering equipment, workstations, and storage areas
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards throughout the catering process
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during events
Experience:
- Previous experience cooking or working in cafes , restaurants, diners or burger van preferable
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
