Join our dynamic team at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. We’re seeking an enthusiastic Barista/Catering Assistant to help deliver nutritious meals, outstanding customer service, and quality café experiences to our patients, staff, and visitors.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and be punctual, reliable, with a dedication to offering authentic, friendly customer service.

  • Barista experience
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or kitchens
  • Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values

ABOUT US

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and a 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
Responsibilities
  • Prepare a range of hot and cold drinks as a skilled Barista
  • Deliver meals, food, and beverages to the hospital patients and doctors
  • Assist with basic food preparation and meal plating
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workspace
  • Provide friendly, efficient service and handle POS transactions
  • Assists in the monitoring and recording requirements of the FSP, for example, recording temperatures, cleaning schedule completion, receipt of goods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends
