ABOUT OUR COMPANY

The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc Aged Care is a not for profit organisation providing Residential Aged Care services across two sites and Community Programs. We are currently seeking Catering Assistants on a permanent basis across our two sites, Fulham and Seaton.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Catering Services Assistant plays a vital role in our food service operations, reporting directly to the Team Leader. This position involves assisting in the preparation and serving of meals while ensuring compliance with Food Safety Standards and the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019.
In this role, you will engage with clients to understand their dietary needs and preferences, contribute to a positive dining experience, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in delivering our services.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a passion for food service.

  • Proven experience as a Catering Assistant or relevant qualifications.
  • Have flexibility around various shift patterns, including days, afternoons and weekends
  • Strong understanding of Food Safety Standards, allergy management and Modified Diets
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Candidates whom speak a second language desirable (Italian or Greek highly desirable) - please include this in your resume.
Ideal candidates will also have experience in a health facility, restaurant, or hotel setting, as well as a Food Safety certificate or equivalent, although this is not a mandatory requirement.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL CANDIDATES

  • Valid National Police Check
  • Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia;
  • 100 points of ID ( Driver’s license, Passport, Birth certificate)
